Job Title: Junior Fire Protection Designer

Position Location: New Hampshire

Approx. Length of Position: Direct Hire

Degree Required: Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree, Technology diploma, or Technician certificate in Mechanical or Fire Suppression Engineering design or other applicable area

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years AutoCAD/Revit experience coupled with professional experience preferred)
  • Design/Draft fire protection (sprinkler and fire alarm systems) 3D and 2D drawing packages for various projects using Revit or AutoCAD
  • Provide production assistance to the Design Staff as follows: Set up AutoCAD/Revit drawing files including digitizing and cleaning up working drawings
  • Fire Protection drafting as per mark-ups provided by Design Staff
  • On-site field survey and documentation of existing conditions to coordinate with design team, architects, other engineers, vendors, consultants.
  • Co-ordinate Fire Suppression requirements with other mechanical and electrical services (assistance provided by Design Staff as needed)
  • Opportunities for a hybrid work-from-home schedule
  • Ability to work on a job site (occasional overnight travel approximately 5%-10%)

Technical

  • Must be highly skilled in Revit/BIM and/or AutoCAD

Requirements:

  • B+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a manager / supervisor of staff
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or on track EIT or FE
  • Experience in the design and engineering of building, ventilating and air conditioning systems, as well as plumbing and fire protection.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of professional engineering and architecture project experience in a firm
  • Ability to understand project specifications desired.
  • Supporting project managers in construction administration duties, including submittal reviews, visiting the job site, and writing field reports
  • Support the Project Managers, Sr. & Jr. architects/engineers, by using the AutoCAD system to develop working drawings, sketches, and other drafting needs.
  • Bachelor's degree or working towards in mechanical engineering or a related field is plus.
  • The primary function of this position is to support the project engineers and managers in the creation of contract drawings, sketches, and any other required documents using AutoCAD and /or Revit.
