Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of experience as an interior designer/architect in a client services firm
  • Creates and participates in client-facing presentations
  • Provides timely and effective coordination in the delivery of designs, plans and specifications to ensure project goals and objectives have been satisfied
  • Develops interior design concepts primarily for small/medium sized projects

  • Eight (8) years of experience as an interior designer/architect in a client services firm

Job #1915: Project Manager - Louisville, Kentucky


Job Title: Project Manager

Position Location: Louisville, Kentucky

Degree Required:  Professional Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience required. 

The Project Manager (PM) will work closely with the Managing Principal and/or architect of record to oversee and manage projects for the office. The successful candidate will be involved in all project phases, from field surveys and schematic design to construction document preparation, permitting, and construction administration. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of project needs to ensure adherence to the schedule, financial health, and client relationships. Depending on project scale and complexity, the PM may take on various roles within the office. This role also includes mentoring junior staff, supporting office culture, and offers a pathway to leadership as the firm continues to grow its business.

Requirements:

  • NCARB and Kentucky State license preferred with reciprocity potential to other jurisdictions.
  • Minimum of six (6) years experience in the architecture profession required, preferably with commercial, industrial, retail, office/warehouse, distribution, athletic and faith-based projects.
  • This position will involve directly managing production teams and staff on projects.
  • Common Dual role: Will work on some projects in a Project Architects role under other PMs and/or as both PM and PA on the same project.
  • Assists in preparation of client proposals and presentations.
  • Can develop project design scopes, schedules and fees.
  • Retains, negotiates and manages project consultants.
  • Performs Construction Administration during construction, including submittal and shop drawing reviews, RFI’s and conducting site observations as needed.
  • Must lead, manage and implement quality control review efforts with teams on projects.
  • Experience working with design-build partners preferred.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of federal, state and local building and zoning codes and their application on projects.
  • Revit production experience is a plus. While extensive REVIT is not required, this role requires lite production skills and the ability to navigate projects in Revit and AutoCAD for tasks like information searches, reviews, plotting and the like.
  • Must possess a strong team-oriented personality, with deliberate focus on mentoring and supporting junior team members and colleagues to promote future team efficiency and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience with design, construction documents, specifications, construction admin, project management, and client interface. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet client expectations, manage consultants and handle workload and scheduling challenges associated with multiple projects.
