What we do
Dakota DesignStaff, Inc. is a search and placement firm providing staff for busy Architecture, Engineering and Construction firms as well as corporate and institutional facilities departments in the metropolitan Boston and New England area. This web site serves both candidates looking for work as well as companies looking for staff. Although we specialize in temporary staffing assignments we also provide temp-to-hire and direct hire placement.

Sometimes, being a smaller agency is a good thing. We have just as much access to job openings as the other guys, but we give our candidates the personal attention they deserve.
Furthermore, we’re a company that’s run by architects and engineers for architects and engineers. We are the only BSA (Boston Society of Architects) related staffing agency that is owned and operated by a licensed, AIA architect. Therefore, we know what it’s like to work and thrive in these fields. We’ve been there. That’s why we’ve set out to help fellow architects and engineers in similar positions. Payrolling is the process by which we pay our candidates. You will always get your paycheck… on time! Since 1993 when we first opened our doors we have never missed a paycheck.
Dakota DesignStaff, Inc. uses a screening process that ensures our candidate’s are a great match for a specific job opening. Using a variety of method’s we screen the candidate’s resume, personal information, preferences and work history. Then a registered architect meets with each candidate for design portfolio review and talent assesment. Only following this stringent screening will a candidate be scheduled for a client interview.
With our health insurance plan, we’ve got you covered, even if you are a temp. After 90 days of work, we offer health insurance plans to full time employees, covering half the cost of individual premiums whether you’re signing up for an individual or family plan.

Besides health insurance we also provide paid sick leave, paid holidays, paid vacation and 401k. And, you will never get stuck paying a tax bill at the end of the year. We treat our staff as W2 wage earning employees and we cover payroll taxes and insurance for you.
